„NORDIC INNOVATIVE BUSINESS IN SERBIA“

The Nordic Business Alliance in partnership with the Embassy of Finland in Belgrade organized a panel discussion with the Prime Minister of Serbia, Mr. Aleksandar Vučić in the Residence of the Ambassador of Finland, His Excellency, Mr. Pertti Ikonen called „Nordic Innovative Business in Serbia“. Seen as a platform for Public-Private dialogue, participants of the panel discussion showcased to the Prime Minister actual challenges our members and their business partners face while doing business in Serbia. We addressed matters coming from different sectors, and panelists coming from member companies participating in the panel discussion with the Prime Minister focused on matters of relevance to all members of the Nordic Business Alliance, while providing their own companies’ examples of good practice. The panelists were His Excellency, the Ambassador of Finland to Belgrade, Mr. Pertti Ikonen, the CEO of Telenor, Ms. Ingebourg Ofsthus, the CEO of Novo Nordisk, Mr. Predrag Radošević, the CEO of Tikkurila, Mr. Algirdas Kupavicius, the Regional Development Manager of IKEA, Mr. Vladislav Lalić, Chair of the Board of the Board, Ms. Jasmina Vignjević and the Executive Director of the Nordic Business Alliance, Mr. Andreja Pavlović who was the moderator of the discussion. The main goal was to enhance and stimulate further innovations in Serbia which are core drivers for investment, and how to make Serbia more competitive in the South-East Europe region. Going by Nordic principles, the Nordic Business Alliance has kept the discussion as open and interactive as possible, while directly participating. The format of this event has been shown as a useful one to the business community, as we have tangled concrete challenges in an effective manner. We will use opportunities like this one to share the know-how, to provide examples of good practice, and finally to follow up technically with our partners with the goal of making Serbia a better place for doing business.
