Nordic Business Alliance in Serbia and portal Balkan Green Energy News invite you to join the conference “Serbian Companies on the Changing Power Market”

The conference ‘Serbian Companies on Changing Power Market’ takes place in Belgrade on February 22, 2022, organized by news portal Balkan Green Energy News. The event will bring together leading energy experts and representatives of state and international institutions, private companies and public enterprises, electricity traders and suppliers, investors, and energy service providers, with the aim of kick-starting the discussion on the outlook for the power market in Serbia for the next five years as well as on new roles for participants in the market.

The ongoing energy crisis, which has spilled over from previous to 2022, has brought about unprecedented hikes in energy prices across Europe as well as Serbia. It has also raised the question of how Serbian companies will supply electricity in the short term, but also in the medium and long term.

Add to this the imperative for companies to decarbonise and align their businesses with the Green Agenda, the projected growth of solar and wind green electricity from solar and wind that will offer on the market, the increasing interest among companies to produce their own energy and prepared for the coming carbon border mechanism – and it becomes clear that the power market as we know it will inevitably change.

The organizer of the conference, Balkan Green Energy News, the leading web portal for sustainable energy and the green economy in the Southeast Europe, has announced that the event will focus on threats, but also opportunities, that come with the emerging new electricity market.

It is vital that all those involved in the market, but also those who will join the market in the future, have the necessary information about the changes taking place. However, unlike energy companies, which have all the know-how and market intelligence, those from other sectors clearly lack the relevant knowledge and information. And this explains the purpose of the conference – to provide a platform for the exchange of information, knowledge, and ideas needed to better understand trends and new concepts on the power market.

Equipped with information and knowledge, companies will be able to make smart decisions in energy management, which will help improve their competitiveness and facilitate decarbonisation.

The conference is intended for general managers, CEOs, chief technology officers, and chief strategy officers, as well as energy managers.

The event takes place at the Crowne Plaza Belgrade hotel. The attendance fee and lunch is EUR 350, payable in Serbian dinars (RSD) for local companies or euros from companies from abroad, while members of the Nordic Business Alliance in Serbia, the institutional partner of the event, are eligible for a 15% discount. Please make sure to secure your seat in time as the number of

participants is limited.
