Nordic Business Alliance is a non-profit business association founded in 2009 with a vision to be a productive and relevant platform to drive positive change in business environment in Serbia, and society at large.

ABOUT US

Our goal is to promote unique Nordic values and business practices, focusing on innovation, sustainability, transparency, environment, social responsibility and equality. 

We aim to promote and strengthen the network and cooperation between Nordic companies in Serbia, as well as to encourage domestic companies to embrace Nordic business models and to expand their businesses to the Nordic markets. 

Strongly supported by the four Nordic embassies in Serbia – Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden – our organization is an influential network of leaders who shape the future of our country, interacting with key government stakeholders and international NGOs on a wider array of initiatives.    

STRATEGY 2021/2022

In order to achieve these aspiring goals, our NBA Board of Governors adopted a three-pronged strategy for 2021/22.

This strategy is centered around main topics/areas of focus, four working groups and main tools for strategy execution.

Main Topics

The goal is to lead with knowledge and relevance, and position NBA as a go-to platform for initiatives with focused actions and tangible impact.


Areas in focus are:


  • ICT/Innovations
  • Environment/Circular Economy
  • Education 


We are open to add other topics of interest for our members. These topics can be addressed either as new stand-alone initiatives or under the umbrella of one of the above mentioned themes. Our aim is to stay flexible and nimble, but always true to our values and vision.

Working Groups

The purpose of working groups is to allow members to get more specific hands-on involvement with initiatives that are important for their industries.


Four groups are:


  • ICT
  • Healthcare
  • Environment
  • Education

Strategy Execution

Capitalizing on examples from Nordic countries, the aim is to differentiate NBA and create a framework for efficient and effective strategy execution.


Activities and tactics include:


  • Knowledge and best-practices sharing (workshops, roundtables, conferences)
  • Socially responsible initiatives and activities (CSR)
  • Partnership with Government stakeholders
  • Partnership with Nordic embassies (public diplomacy and projects)
  • Networking
