Protecting the environment is a priority for the European Union so that future generations can live sustainably. This is why the EU delivers equipment for waste separation and recycling in many places in Serbia.

In EU we tackle challenges together. We have the EU green deal that is translated into the EU green agenda for Serbia. We work to tackle climate change and to make sure that we have energy security. The European Union wants to be the first environmentally neutral country by 2050. We want lower pollution and we want to recycle more.

Sweden and EU are taking concrete actions on the ground in Serbia geared towards increasing the quality of life of people living in Serbia, reducing pollution, and making the country more environmentally friendly. In partnership, we rolled out a pilot project in over 16 municipalities all over Serbia, to make recycling easy because waste management is key for the green agenda and to making the quality of life for people in Serbia better.
