Serbia and Sweden Unite for Health: Launch of the Healthcare Academy

Partnership and collaboration came to life last week in Belgrade with the launch of the Healthcare Academy, a groundbreaking initiative marking the beginning of a long-term collaboration between Serbia and Sweden. This joint effort is designed to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and expertise between healthcare professionals from both countries, with a focus on addressing some of Europe’s most urgent health concerns.

The inaugural session of the Academy centered on breast cancer, a pressing issue that continues to demand innovative solutions and collaborative approaches. By bringing together Serbian and Swedish experts, the Academy aims to drive advancements in prevention, diagnosis, and treatment, ultimately improving healthcare outcomes and saving lives.

This initiative reflects the commitment of all partners involved, including our member AstraZeneca, whose leadership has been instrumental in bringing this vision to life. Health and well-being remain one of the four strategic pillars of the Nordic Business Alliance, and this project exemplifies the values and priorities our members hold dear.

We extend our gratitude to the Embassy of Sweden in Serbia and Business Sweden for their steadfast support in this and many other collaborative projects.  As the Healthcare Academy begins its journey, it stands as a powerful example of what can be achieved through partnership. Together, Serbia and Sweden are taking significant strides toward improving healthcare, fostering innovation, and building a healthier future.
