The Embassy of Sweden in Serbia hosted a truly magical evening to celebrate St. Lucia, the cherished bearer of light, at the iconic Beli Dvor. The event brought together the warmth of tradition and the joy of the holiday season, creating an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

The evening commenced with a heartfelt welcome by H.E. Charlotte Sammelin, the Ambassador of Sweden to Serbia, whose words set the tone for a night of festive cheer and cultural appreciation. The highlight of the celebration was a musical performance by the choir “Lola.” Dressed in traditional white gowns and carrying candles, the choir illuminated the evening with their enchanting voices, embodying the essence of the St. Lucia tradition.

Guests were treated to delightful Christmassy delicacies and mulled wine, enhancing the cozy and festive ambiance. The gathering was graced by members of the diplomatic, business, and civil communities, including many from the Nordic Business Alliance.  Together, they celebrated not only the holiday season but also the spirit of Nordic-Serbian friendship.

The Beli Dvor, beautifully adorned for the occasion, provided the perfect backdrop for this enchanting celebration.  As the candles of St. Lucia’s procession lit up the room, so too did the warmth of togetherness and the promise of the holiday season ahead. This celebration was a wonderful reminder of the light and joy that the holidays bring, leaving everyone inspired to carry the festive spirit into the coming days.
